A message from Jane, Caroline and Mark:
: We are writing with the sad news that Mike died early last Tuesday morning after his courageous and characteristically determined fight against cancer.
: It was necessary for Mike to spend a lot of time in hospital during September and October. He was very pleased to be able to come home at the beginning of November and we take great comfort that he died peacefully in his sleep in familiar surroundings with his family.
: The funeral service will be held at St. Mark's Church, St. Mark's Road, Teddington on 15th November at 1.45pm. As you know, Mike enjoyed celebrations and entertaining his friends and we very much hope that you will join us after the service at Dittons Skiff & Punting Club, Alexandra Road, Thames Ditton.
: We ask for family flowers only but if you wish, donations in memory of Mike can be made to Dr David Cunningham's Research Fund, Royal Marsden Hospital sent to the funeral directors, Holmes & Daughters, 161 High Street, Teddington, Middx, TW11 8HH
Mike will be sadly missed by his many friends in the skiffing world.
