1.2 DEFINITIONS
t.Private Match within a regatta context:
there may be no advertising for entries
no more than FOUR clubs may be invited to compete without specific permission from the National Competition Committee.
2-1-4 Duties of the Chairman of the Race
Committee.
d.Take all decisions concerning racing and the application of these
Rules that are not in the jurisdiction of a Race Umpire or another qualified
official, and hear any protest, either himself or with the assistance of
all, or any, of the Race Committee, to whom he may delegate such actions.
If the Chairman, OR ANY MEMBER, of the Race Committee (DELETE
HIMSELF) acts as the Key Race Official, and a protest arises concerning
a decision of his in that capacity, he should delegate the hearing of that
protest to other members of the Race Committee.

a. All coxswains shall be weighed prior to their first race AND, IF
REQUIRED, AFTER ANY RACE in an event.
Information regarding changes to coxswains weights (2-3-7): Increases
in the minimum weights for coxes are designed to bring some weights in line
with FISA and to encourage the retention of good coxes who may otherwise
outgrow their usefulness.

b. THE MINIMUM WEIGHT FOR COXSWAINS SHALL BE; 55KG FOR ADULT MEN,
J16, J18 AND MIXED; 50KG FOR ADULT WOMEN, WJ16 AND WJ18; 45 KG FOR ALL J15
AND YOUNGER. TO MAKE UP THIS WEIGHT A LIGHTER COXSWAIN SHALL CARRY A
DEADWEIGHT

Information regarding status points (4-1-3): The points
allowance per status remain unaltered, any changes that may be contemplated
will be co-ordinated with the review of the whole competition programme currently
being undertaken.
Please note that in order to encourage crew sculling, the Senior 4 status
is no longer restricted to sweep oared racing.

b. Amend to read - 'Events may be classified as school/junior. This extends
a J18A event to permit pupils in full time secondary education to continue
to participate at a junior level representing their school or club up to
the date of their 19th birthday.
This does not permit the inclusion of 'old boys' in a school crew.'

e. New Rule. 'Novice events may be offered at junior, J16 and J15 levels
for junior members who have not yet won a junior event.
