The 2013 Junior Championships were held on July 20th and 21st at NWSC, Holme Pierrepont, Nottingham:

The 2012 Championships were held on July 13th to 15th at NWSC, Holme Pierrepont, Nottingham:
"The plan is to have a three day national championship in Nottingham in July on the usual dates with all the junior and most of the senior events. There will also be an event at Dorney on the weekend of the 20th/21st October to try out the new format of the event for 2013. It will be at Dorney for this year only and the plan is to have the Nat Champs in Nottingham in the October of 2013 as this is the only date which allows the internationals to compete."

- Record entry (over 800 crews). Over 300 races with course changes mean that the following timetable was neccessary:
  - Friday 0800 - 1902 with 6 min intervals
  - Saturday 0800 - 1909 or later with 5 min intervals
  - Sunday 0830 -1707 [with LIVE commentary on Sunday finals on-line from RQ]
